Bri Beck, LCPC, ATR-BC (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Board Certified Registered Art Therapist based in Chicago. She holds a Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ball State University. Bri is a disabled art therapist living with pseudoachondroplasia, a rare skeletal dysplasia, and her work is deeply informed by her lived experience navigating medical systems, inaccessible environments, chronic pain, and disability identity.
In her private practice, Bri supports teens and adults navigating disability, chronic illness, and rare conditions through individual and relationship therapy. She also frequently offers consultation and training for healthcare professionals and organizations in disability-affirming care. She is a part-time faculty member in the Department of Art Therapy at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and serves on the board of the Little Legs Big Heart Foundation.
Beyond her clinical practice, Bri is an active participant in Chicago's disability art and culture scene. Her work has been exhibited at venues including The Kennedy Center and the Design Museum of Chicago, and she regularly speaks at disability conferences and community events nationally and internationally. Her artistic practice explores themes of embodiment, access, identity, and the creative possibilities that emerge from living with disability. Bri sees her clinical and artistic work not as separate pursuits, but as two expressions of the same commitment to honoring embodied practice.
