Karen Gibbons, ATR-BC, LCAT, C-IAYT is a licensed art therapist, a certified yoga therapist and holds an MFA in painting. She has spent more than 20 years as a psychotherapist integrating her passions, art, yoga and intention primarily working with a trauma focused lens. Karen currently works in private practice, as well as doing group work for children and adolescents who are experiencing loss and bereavement. Karen is also an author. She wrote the book, Integrating Art Therapy and Yoga Therapy; Yoga, Art and the Use of Intention, as well as book reviews, book chapters, and an article for the Journal of the American Art Therapy Association. Additionally, as a life long artist, she exhibits her work regularly in NYC and internationally.
